This Privacy Policy explains how Postiz (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Facebook application, Postiz.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our service, which is the integration between Facebook and Postiz for post scheduling and performance analytics.

When you use the App to connect your Facebook account/Page, we collect the following data points that you explicitly authorize through the Facebook permissions process:

  • Public Profile Information: Your name and profile picture (for identification purposes only).
  • Page/Post Data:
    • Information about the Facebook Pages you manage (name, ID).
    • Content of posts (text, images, video links) emitted through the Postiz integration.
    • Aggregated Post Metrics/Insights: Non-personally identifiable statistics on posts (e.g., likes, comments, shares, reach, impressions) to derive analytics and performance reports.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, private messages, or any personal data beyond what is required to facilitate the integration and provide you with statistics on the posts you have published.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information for the following limited purposes:

  1. To Facilitate the Postiz Integration: To enable you to schedule and publish content to your authorized Facebook Pages via the Postiz platform.
  2. To Provide Statistical Reporting: To derive, generate, and display aggregated, non-personally identifiable statistics and analytics related to the performance of the posts you publish.
  3. To Identify Your Account: To verify and maintain the connection between your Facebook account and the App/Postiz.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We are committed to the principle of data minimization and do not sell your personal data. We will only share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Postiz: We share the content of the posts, scheduling information, and performance metrics with the Postiz platform as necessary to provide the core service of the integration. Postiz’s use of this data is governed by the Postiz Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to review.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. We securely store your authentication tokens and do not store your Facebook password.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain the data we collect for as long as your App account is active and connected to Postiz.

  • Request for Deletion: If you wish to revoke the App’s access to your data or request deletion of any collected information, you must remove the App directly through your Facebook account settings. Removing the App will automatically revoke our access to your data, and we will delete any collected data associated with your account within [Number, e.g., 30] days, unless retention is required by law.
